Delaware County sits on heavy clay soil, which is a bigger deal for plumbing than most homeowners expect. It is why so much of our week is excavation and drainage work rather than fixture swaps, and why the older neighborhoods around the Columbus Pike corridor still run clay sewer laterals that root intrusion has had decades to work on.
